Brewery Chimney
The 46th Brewery Chimney Unveiling Ceremony commenced at
11AM on Tuesday, 12th September, 2000. It was attended by reportedly the
largest group of supporters the brewery had ever seen. What did they expect?
WE ARE CENTRALS!! And for the first time, the Brewery Chimney was painted
with 6 colours: The RED, WHITE & BLUE of CENTRALS, on top of
the very camp yellow, lime & cyan of Woodville-West Torrens.

We love the chimney in RED, WHITE & BLUE!
2000 CDFC Web Site Guestbook
From March
2000 onwards, I started saving the Official CDFC web site guestbook. Read
all the comments made by loyal supporters throughout the year, laugh at
the amusing predictions made by non-Bulldog supporters, and enjoy the
flood of WORLDWIDE euphoria which came after CENTRALS won the 2000 Premiership.
It's an interesting read, warts and all, that provides a look at how the
year progressed from a supporter perspective. The CDFC Guestbook 2001
can be obtained via email request.
The Old Mug Visits Adelaide Casino
It was 8:50AM on a Monday morning in December 2000, and I was on my way
to work. As I approached the staff entrance, I heard a voice: 'Campbell,
over 'ere!' It was Russell Ainsworth (CDFC Marketing Committee) standing
by his car in the casino forecourt. As I walked over, he pulled out the
T.S.Hill Cup from the front passenger seat. Next thing I know, the SANFL
2000 Premiers flag is around my shoulders, the Cup is in my hands and
Russell is taking photos of me Holding
It and Kissing
It (no smut intended!). Did I have a smile on my face for the rest
of the day or what?
"Centrals win
a Grand Final? Yeah. I'd like to see that."
