The Dogs sent Port packing back to Alberton (and their toothless
supporters back to the sewers), with an awesome display of
tough and skilled football. The game was played at a furious
pace with Port throwing everything they had at the Dogs. Even
with key defender Jeremy Aufderheide missing, the defence
today was rock-solid. The return of Daniel Healy was felt
also - he played a great game, including a 60m goal, but his
presence seemed to lift the team a notch as well. The Grand
Final will see the Dogs with an even stronger line-up with
the return of Aufderheide and key forward Luke Cowan.
Funniest comment of the day directed at the Port cheersquad:
"Norwood rants about their success in the 1800's, Port
rants about the 1900's - get with the times fellas! This is
the 2000's!"
