Game #934, Round 19 12/8/2006 @ Alberton Oval
Centrals 11.16(82) def. by Port 14.22(106)

In their worst performance of the year, the Dogs failed to put the struggling
Magpies away. Too many players made basic skill errors, the tackling was soft and
nobody wanted to chase. Port actually dominated for much of the first half, before
the Dogs woke up and started playing some decent footy. It was only Port's attrocious
skill errors that kept the margin within reach. Despite playing like crap, it looked
like the Dogs would still pinch the game. They came from 52 points down to get within
a kick in the last quarter. This is a game we should have won. We've got the bye
next week which should give us time to sort things out. And hopefully we'll have
a couple of key players back too.
As always, the behaviour of many Port supporters was tragic. Members of the Port
cheersquad were heard joking about "looking for a fight today". The problem
with this mob is that they aren't clever enough to match it verbally with Centrals
supporters - let's face it, who is.
After the game, a car sped down the road with the passenger hanging his body
out of the car yelling "F#$% you Dogs, you feral C#$%&!". Obviously
the irony of his behaviour and language was lost on this sad individual.
It's always a revolting experience travelling to Alberton: Sub-standard facilities,
toothless supporters and not a bit of colour anywhere in the place.
At least the supporter below had something to celebrate...

The car was still there after the game!
