Not a pretty game to watch as illustrated above. Skills were down for both sides in the muddy conditions. Centrals missed some relatively easy shots for goal - some of which went out on the full. But Glenelg actually looked good at times and made a real contest. When was the last time we could say that about a Glenelg side? In the last quarter, Centrals took charge and the lead blew out to 36 points. This is normally the point where Glenelg gives up and the final margin ends up being 10 goals. But to Glenelg's credit, they kept fighting and the final margin was only 23 points. It's the closest Glenelg has come to a victory at Elizabeth since May 1999 when they only lost by 17 points.

The Centrals 80s guernseys were a fantastic spectacle and no doubt brought back fond memories for many supporters.
