  Record-equalling minor round

Game #960, 1/9/2007 Round 22 @ Norwood Oval
Centrals 16.15(111) def. Norwood 8.12(60)

In beating Norwood, Centrals equalled its best ever minor round performance of 18 wins and 2 losses. The only worry is, the last time we were this good was 2002.

Not much of a game to watch really. Plenty of errors and a distinct lack of intensity from both sides. Centrals no doubt had bigger things in mind, whilst Norwood were probably thinking about the cricket season.

STATS:

This is the first time Centrals has beaten Norwood twice at Norwood Oval in the same season.

This is the first time Centrals has beaten Norwood 3 times in a minor round. Centrals did beat Norwood 3 times back in 1972 but this included a win in the 1st Semi Final.

Centrals has beaten Norwood 3 times this year with an average winning margin of 90 points. This is the most dominant season Centrals has ever had over Norwood.

Centrals has won 10 of the last 12 games against Norwood.

Centrals is rapidly overhauling the win/loss deficit against Norwood with 52 wins and 60 losses. Once Norwood has been overtaken, Centrals will have a superior win/loss record against every team in the league except Port Adelaide.
