In a disappointing effort, Centrals managed only a 19-point win over North. The Dogs should have been 10 goals up at half time, but silly errors and poor kicking for goal prevented a decent thrashing.

The 3rd quarter saw one of the most incredible periods of umpiring ever witnessed, allowing North to get within 2 points at 3-quarter time! Thankfully, the Dogs got angry in the final quarter and took back control of the game.

Incredibly, 6 or 7 of North's 9 goals came from frees and/or 25 and 50 metre penalties. This must be some sort of record. Dogs players were certainly frustrated by this rubbish, but I believe soft umpiring and "diving" and "feigning" by North players were the main causes of this amazing statistic. It's a pity this stuff is not penalised in Aussie Rules. It's called cheating in other codes.

Yes, North are still a dirty team. This time it was Alleway who landed a cheap shot on one of the Gowans twins after the result was beyond doubt. And all he got was a pointless 25-metre penalty (Chris Gowans was already taking the shot from point-blank range).

And it seems many North supporters are still in denial over Schubert's gutless attack on James Gowans in the 2007 GF. We had a heated discussion with some of these charming human beings during the game. They just refused to acknowledge that Schubert had done anything at all. They were like brainwashed Chinese citizens.

I HATE NORTH. Their supporters are dickheads, their coach is a circus clown and too many of their players are gutless.

I need to have a lie down now...
